Advice to Moms( from moms)

Mom Advice

advice

Today I am getting advice from  five dedicated moms when it comes to motherhood and how they plan to  do their best for their children. Motherhood does not come with a handbook and some advice is not always the best advice. I say use your own judgement. You know yourself and you know your kid. If all else fails ask a doctor or someone you trust full heartedly when it comes to issues.

Introducing..

Shwetha

advice

She is a mom to triplets.  She is a general physician and a freelance writer. You can find her here...https://anamikadesibeats.wordpress.com/

What goals do you have in terms of being the best mom that you can?

“I want to be avaliable to my kids all the time so they never feel left out. For my kids I want to be a cool mom and a friend whom they should approach on any matter. I will give them every possible opportunity to learn new things in life. They can choose their field of interest and to grow and learn new skills. Extra curricular activities will be a must but they will be given a choice on what it is they want to do.”

If a new mom came to you for advice what would you tell her?

” There are a ton of people that want to give you their advice. You do not have to follow anyones advice, what worked for one kid might not work for yours. Every child and situation are different, use your best judgement. Every parent has used trial and error at some point, sometimes that is all you can do. Do not compare your child to others, every child is unique. All that matters is baby and mom are happy and healthy.”

What are some things you struggle with as a new mom?

“Time Management is something I struggle with. What I do is multitask and I also wear my baby if I need to cook or clean. While I am nursing is when I eat and get things done for my website.”

If a new mom came to you for advice what would you tell her?

” Cuddle your baby as much as possible. A clean house can wait, nothing is as important as spending precious time with your child. Ask for help when you need a break. It is ok to ask for help.”

advice

What are some things you struggle with as a new mom?

“Something I struggle with is what should I do when someone elses kid is doing something unacceptable (hitting, snatching toys, not taking turns) and the parent isn’t doing anything about it. Is it ok for me to correct the behavior? Do I instead use it as a teaching moment for my kid?”

If a new mom came to you for advice what would you tell her?

“Take all the help you can get and be thankful for it. The concept of a supermom is bullshit. You can’t and shouldn’t go this alone, and you can’t do it all, all the time.”

Rebekah

advice

Rebekah is pregnant with her first child. She will be working from home when the baby arrives.

What are some goals you have for being the best mom you can be?

“When it comes to making a decision, always think it through. Always protect my child no matter what and be there for them.”

If a new mom came to you for advice what would you tell her?

” To research as much as possible to try and prepare for the baby. Get some help whenever you can until you have adjusted to the baby.”

Kayla

Advice

She is a stay at home mom to a beautiful baby girl. you can find her at /http://mainlymotherhood.com/

What are some things you struggle with as a new mom?

“One of my biggest struggles as a mom is trusting that my baby is growing and learning at her own pace, and to have the assurance that if she is doing something a little differently than other babies her age, that’s ok! she will grow and learn to do things on her own time.”

If a new mom came to you for advice what would you tell her?

“I would tell her to savor those first few weeks of your baby’s life. Cherish that time together. Spend a lot of time cuddling and getting to know one another. It can be scary for a newborn to be outside the womb. Keep her warm and close and she will know that you are keeping her safe.”
