20 Family Activities you can start today! I wish Spring would hurry up and get here where I live. The weather has been crazy and cold! Where is the warm weather? There are so many fun activities to do for spring with your family and kiddos! So let’s get to it!
Create a hula hoop tent
This is super fun! it might seem like a lot of work at first but the kids will love it!

Color Pictures of Spring
This is a fun way to let your kids be creative. Ask them questions like what do you think about when you hear the word Spring? Why not color a picture of all the things that make you think of spring?
create kid-friendly slime
Slime is all the rage these days! it looks like fun! I can not wait to try it when my son gets a little older! have you made homemade slime before? Check out the video below for instructions for borax free slime.

Paint flower pots
Get some paint and paint brushes and let them use their artistic side in this fun spring activity. After the paint dries then they can put some flowers in their pots!
An example of an easy flower to start with for kids would a be a sunflower. you can start with a cup, some dirt, sun flower seeds and water. They can watch it grown and can teach them patients. Kids will love watching their progress and the end they get a pretty sunflower out of it. Such a neat and fun project to do.
plant Fruits & vegetables
Have your child make their own mini garden with some strawberries, Carrots, or Potatoes. Easy to grow and easy to wash and eat!
There are a ton of fun ways to enjoy bubbles. Just get the mini bottles of bubbles or a jumbo thing of bubbles. A bubble machine that shoots out a ton of bubbles looks like so much fun!
Why not go old school with some chalk on the side walk? You can make games like four square and hop scotch. Or they have new spray on chalk, glow in the dark chalk. The possibilities are endless! Clean up is a breeze just add water!
Camping can be a lot of fun but it can also be a lot of work and you might have to deal with bugs! Eek! Always bring sunscreen and bug repellant. Does your family like to camp? I used to go camping every summer and loved it! I cannot wait until my son is old enough to go camping!
Fly a kite
I have never mastered flying a kite. I feel like there has to be a trick to it or maybe the days I choose are not windy enough. Whatever the case this is still fun to try and the best part is you can create your own Kite, another craft mixed in with a lot of fun!
Go on a nature walk
Nature can be a beautiful thing. Make sure you follow signs and always follow the trail do not go off the beaten path. It is always better to be safe out in the wilderness. You can play I spy nature style. Throw a little science and some learning in while going for a family walk!
Go to the park
So many ways to have fun at the park. You can do the obvious thing and swing and slide and play on the monkey bars. You could play freeze tag, flag football, have a many family field day!

Create a summer bucket list
Bucket lists are so fun to make. I could make lists all day.
Create some Family Photos
Flowers are blooming and it gets pretty sunny outside. So why not head out and take some fun spring photos. You could even add props!
Spring Book Theme
Go to your local library and find some spring books! You could create crafts to go with the books. sneak in some learning during your spring break.
